A Qeshm Air Airbus A300-600, registration EP-FQK performing flight QB-215 from Istanbul (Turkey) to Tehran Imam Khomeini (Iran), was accelerating for takeoff from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport when the right hand engine (CF6) emitted a loud bang and ejected debris onto the runway. The crew rejected takeoff at high speed, the aircraft came to a stop on the runway with the right hand main tyres deflated. The passengers disembarked onto the runway and were bussed to the terminal.
