A KLM Boeing 737-800, registration PH-BXG performing flight KL-1618 from Milan Linate (Italy) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was descending towards Amsterdam when the crew reported a problem with the brakes, turned off the approach to run the related checklists, and subsequently positioned for a landing on runway 27 with emergency services on stand by, the crew advised they needed to monitor the brakes temperatures. The aircraft landed safely on Amsterdam's runway 27 about 20 minutes later, vacated the runway and taxied to the apron.
