An Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319-100, registration C-GARO performing flight RV-1899/AC-1899 from Las Vegas,NV (USA) to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 37 people on board, was climbing out of Las Vegas when the crew received a #1 hydraulic system low pressure indication. The crew worked the related checklists, switched the related pump off, the Power Transfer Unit PTU took over and pressurized the system. The crew continued the flight to Vancouver. While on approach to Vancouver's runway 26R the crew configured the aircraft for landing but received an unsafe gear indication at 1000 feet. The crew went around, conducted an alternate gear extension and landed safely on runway 26L. The aircraft was towed off the runway.

The Canadian TSB reported the crew also received a PTU overheat message. Maintenance discovered the left hand main gear door down actuator hydraulic line was leaking and depleted the hydraulic fluid, which further caused the PTU overheat.
