An Air Canada Airbus A319-100, registration C-GARO performing flight AC-1178 from Calgary,AB to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 79 people on board, was on approach to Toronto's runway 06R when the landing gear did not move after being selected down. The aircraft went around, the crew worked the relevant checklists and used the alternate gear extension. The crew declared emergency, performed a safe landing on runway 06L about 25 minutes after aborting the first approach and was towed off the runway.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced a landing gear system relais 48GA, subsequent tests of the landing gear were successful.
