A Westjet Encore de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-FOWE performing flight WS-3214 from Thunder Bay,ON to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 19 passengers and 4 crew, was climbing through 14,000 feet out of Thunder Bay when a loud bang was heard and the cabin pressure was lost. The crew initiated a rapid descent to 10,000 feet, then returned to Thunder Bay for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported that an inspection revealed the aft cargo door seal was damaged. The seal was replaced.
