The left engine after landingA Flynas Airbus A320-200, registration VP-CXJ performing flight XY-618 from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) to Antakya (Turkey) with 55 people on board, was climbing out of Jeddah's runway 16R when the left hand engine (CFM56) doors opened and were torn off. The crew stopped the climb and returned to Jeddah for a safe landing on runway 16C 17 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration VP-CXI reached Antakya with a delay of 4 hours.

On Feb 3rd 2015 the French BEA reported in their weekly bulletin that the crew reduced the left hand engine to idle for the return to Jeddah, the left hand thrust reverser was not used. The BEA wrote quoting the AIB of Saudi Arabia: "At 13:24 after take-off from OEJN 16R, during climb the left engine cowl ripped off on both sides at an area of close proximity to the pylon." The occurrence was rated an incident.
