A Malindo Air Boeing 737-900, registration 9M-LNJ performing flight OD-206 from Delhi (India) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) with 121 passengers and 8 crew, was enroute at FL390 over the Bay of Bengal when the crew noticed a slow loss of cabin pressure and initiated a rapid descent to FL100. The crew decided to divert to Bangkok (Thailand) for a safe landing about one hour later.

The airline confirmed a slow decompression, the crew manually deployed the passenger oxygen masks according to standard operating procedures.
