A Bradley Air Service Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-300 on behalf of First Air, registration C-GKLB performing flight 7F-152 from Yellowknife,NT to Fort Simpson,NT (Canada) with 15 people on board, was climbing through FL190 out of Yellowknife when the right hand engine (PW120) flamed out. The crew worked the related checklists, shut the engine down and returned to Yellowknife for a safe landing on runway 34 about 25 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported an engine inspection found the angle gear shaft had sheared.
