A Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 787-800, registration EI-LNF performing flight DY-7087 from Stockholm (Sweden) to Los Angeles,CA (USA) with 250 people on board, was climbing out of Arlanda Airport's runway 08 when the crew stopped the climb at FL120 due to problems retracting the flaps. The aircraft entered a hold to dump fuel and returned to Arlanda Airport for a safe landing on runway 19R about 70 minutes after departure.

The airline confirmed the aircraft returned due to problems with the flaps. The aircraft was repaired and departed again.

The occurrence aircraft was able to depart Stockholm as flight DY-7089 after about two hours on the ground and is estimated to reach Los Angeles with a delay of 3.5 hours.
