A Jetstar Airbus A330-200, registration VH-EBD performing flight JQ-8 from Singapore (Singapore) to Melbourne,VI (Australia) with 210 people on board, was climbing out of Singapore when the crew stopped the climb at FL290 about 140nm southsoutheast of Singapore due to a low oil pressure indication for an engine (CF6). The crew shut the engine down, declared PAN and returned to Singapore for a safe landing on runway 02C about 55 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.
