A Brussels Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration OO-SSA performing flight SN-3731 from Brussels (Belgium) to Madrid,SP (Spain), completed what appeared to be a normal flight at FL350 performing a normal descent into Madrid with a safe landing, however, emergency services attended the aircraft upon landing.

The return flight SN-3732 the next morning was cancelled.

A passenger reported that the flight appeared normal, however, after landing the aircraft was escorted by fire trucks. Both cabin and flight crew told the passenger, who inquired just prior to disembarking the aircraft, that the aircraft had suffered a cracked windshield. Emergency services had been dispatched although not requested by the flight crew.

The incident aircraft positioned back to Brussels late May 1st 2014 and resumed service on May 2nd.
