An Air Arabia Airbus A320-200, registration A6-ABQ performing flight G9-551 (dep May 2nd) from Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) to Sialkot (Pakistan) with 162 passengers, was enroute at FL370 near Multan (Pakistan) when the crew needed to shut the left hand engine (CFM56) down and diverted to Multan for a safe landing.

The engine is being replaced.
