An Air Arabia Airbus A320-200, registration A6-AOE performing flight G9-1734 (dep Sep 30th) from Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), was enroute at FL380 about to reach to the top of descent into Jeddah when the crew received a "CAB Pressure Excess" ECAM message and a Cabin Altitude warning. The crew initiated an emergency descent, the passenger oxygen masks were automatically released. The aircraft continued to Jeddah for a safe landing on runway 34L.

Saudi Arabia's AIB reported the occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.
