A Eurowings Canadair CRJ-900 on behalf of Germanwings, registration D-ACNF performing flight 4U-7512 from Hamburg (Germany) to Madrid,SP (Spain) with 77 passengers, was enroute at FL370 about 30nm northeast of Bordeaux (France) when the crew decided to divert to Bordeaux due to an electronics problem on board. The aircraft landed safely in Bordeaux about 20 minutes later.

The passengers, fans of soccer team Bayern Munich going to attend the Champions League match between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, were fearing to miss the match.

A replacement Canadair CRJ-900 registration was dispatched to Bordeaux, departed for Madrid just before 19:00L and reached Madrid at 19:57L with a delay of 5:45 hours, about 48 minutes prior to kick-off.
