A Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-GTAQ performing flight QK-8478 from Grande Prairie,AB to Calgary,AB (Canada), was descending towards Calgary cleared to descend to and maintain 10,000 feet.
Air Traffic Control observed the Flair Boeing climbed above 9000 feet to 9500 feet and advised both aircraft, both crews advised they were responding to TCAS Resolution Advisories, the Jazz crew reported a Resolution Advisory to climb and climbed to 11,000 feet.
After being clear of conflict both aircraft continued to their destinations for landings without further incidents.
The Canadian TSB reported that the separation between the aircraft reduced to 300 feet vertically and 1nm laterally.
