A Rossiya Antonov AN-148, registration RA-61706 performing flight FV-145 from St. Petersburg to Moscow Domodedovo (Russia), was in the initial climb out of St. Petersburg's runway 10R when the crew stopped the climb at 2400 meters reporting an engine had failed. The engine was reduced to idle thrust and the aircraft returned to St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport for a safe landing on runway 10L about 18 minutes after departure.

A replacement Antonov AN-148 registration RA-61701 reached Moscow with a delay of 2 hours.
