The Canadian TSB reported both propellers received damage in the occurrence after the crew lost sight of the runway edge lights following selection of reverse thrust that blew up snow and the aircraft veered left entering a snow drift in the unploughed section of the runway.
NAV Canada reported at the time of landing there were wind gusts up to 50 knots blowing snow up causing a white out to the crew, the aircraft veered to the left and got stuck in a "blanket of snow".
The remaining sectors of the flight to Deer Lake,NL (Canada) and back to St. John's were cancelled.
