A Ural Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration VQ-BAG performing flight U6-385 from Vladivostok to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Russia) with 105 passengers and 7 crew, was climbing to cruise FL350 out of Vladivostok when the crew noticed that the cabin altitude continued to climb above target at a rate of 150-200 fpm with an increasing tendency. The crew stopped the climb at FL310, the rate of cabin climb temporarily reduced to 100 fpm but increased again to 200 fpm. When the cabin altitude reached 9550 feet an excess cabin altitude message appeared on the ECAM prompting the crew to don their oxygen masks and initiate an emergency descent to FL100. The crew subsequently decided to return to Vladivostok for a safe landing on runway 25L about one hour later.
