A Brussels Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration OO-SSW performing flight SN-2371 from Brussels (Belgium) to Vilnius (Lithuania), was climbing through FL310 out of Brussels when the airspeed indications of both captain and first officer became unreliable. The crew levelled off at FL320 and returned to Brussels for a safe landing on runway 25L about 35 minutes later.

A replacement Airbus A319-100 registration OO-SSK reached Vilnius with a delay of 3:45 hours.

The French BEA made the incident known on Jul 2nd reporting the speed indications on both primary flight displays became unreliable while the aircraft climbed through FL310.
