A US Airways Airbus A321-200, registration N193UW performing flight US-1548 (dep Jun 1st) from Seattle,WA to Philadelphia,PA (USA), landed on Philadelphia's runway 27R at about 05:58L (09:58Z) but in the flare ingested a bird into its right hand engine (CFM56), the crew reported after vacating the runway they had flown through a flock of birds. The next arrival also reported flying through a flock of birds but suffered no bird strike.

The FAA reported the damage to the right hand engine needs to be determined.

The incident aircraft was able to resume service 12 hours after landing.
