US Airways B752 near Atlantic City on Jun 7th 2012, turbulence injures flight attendant

A US Airways Boeing 757-200, registration N936UW performing flight US-1078 from San Juan (Puerto Rico) to Philadelphia,PA (USA) with 178 passengers and 7 crew, was on approach to Philadelphia descending through about 10,000 feet near Atlantic City,NJ (USA) about 40nm southeast of Philadelphia when the aircraft encountered turbulence. Being level at 9000 feet the crew reported a crew member had been hurt and requested approach control to arrange for paramedics await the aircraft at the gate. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Philadelphia's runway 27R and taxied to the gate.

The FAA reported a flight attendant received injuries.

On Feb 7th 2014 the NTSB released a very brief preliminary report stating one flight attendant in the aft galley received serious injuries when the aircraft encountered turbunce on descent into Philadelphia. There was no damage to the aircraft. An investigation is underway.

On Mar 10th 2018 the NTSB released their very brief final report concluding the probable cause of the accident was:

an inadvertent encounter with convective turbulence
