About 150 seconds later US Airways Airbus A321-200, registration N198UW performing flight US-1509 from Hartford,CT to Charlotte,NC (USA), was cleared for takeoff from runway 06, runways 06 and 33 are crossing, and commenced takeoff.
About 100 seconds later tower can be heard calling frantically "Cactus 1509 hold short of runway 06" (Cactus: radio callsign of US Airways), the crew of EV-3822 inquired they were landing on runway 33, what was the story with crossing 06? The crew of US-1509 inquired whether that last transmission was for them and were handed off to departure.
Flight EV-3822 stopped before the crossing point with runway 06 and vacated the runway via taxiway C just before the crossing.
Both crews requested and got a phone number for tower to discuss the occurrence.
The FAA opened an investigation into the operational error.
