A Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737-800, registration LN-NGF performing flight DY-9748 from Bodo (Norway) to Antalya (Turkey), was enroute at FL350 about 60nm southwest of Stockholm (Sweden) when the first officer requested medical services available at Stockholm Arlanda Airport reporting the captain had become sick and was incapacitated. The first officer landed the aircraft safely on Arlanda Airport's runway 01L about 20 minutes later. The captain was taken to a local hospital.

The incident aircraft departed Stockholm with a replacement crew about 140 minutes after landing and reached Antalya with a delay of 3 hours.

Passengers reported cabin crew needed to administer oxygen to the captain.

The airline confirmed the captain became ill, the crew followed procedures and diverted to Stockholm. The captain was taken care of by medical services at Arlanda Airport.
