A Jetstar Airbus A330-200, registration VH-EBE performing flight JQ-4 (dep May 3rd) from Honolulu,HI (USA) to Sydney,NS (Australia), was enroute near Nadi (Fiji) when the crew decided to divert to Nadi due to an engine #1 (CF6, left hand) oil leak. The aircraft landed safely in Nadi.

Maintenance found only one quart of oil remaining at the leaking engine's oil reservoir.

An Airbus A321-200 registration VH-VWX positioned from Sydney to Nadi on May 5th and delivered the passengers to Sydney as flight JQ-7006 with a delay of 26 hours.

The incident aircraft was able to return to Sydney on May 8th as flight JQ-7992.
