A Qantas Airbus A330-200, registration VH-EBE performing flight QF-772 from Perth,WA to Melbourne,VI (Australia), was climbing out of Perth's runway 06 when the crew stopped the climb at about 4000 feet after an eagle collided with the aircraft. The aircraft returned to Perth for a safe landing on runway 06 about 18 minutes after departure.

Passengers reported a loud bang and impact was felt throughout the aircraft, the engines spooled up and down in response, one of the passenger windows showed blood on its outer side.
