An Envoy Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N273NN performing flight AA-3892 from Mazatlan (Mexico) to Phoenix,AZ (USA), was on approach to Phoenix when the crew reported a brakes problem. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 08, vacated the runway reporting everything was normal, but they wanted emergency services to inspect the brakes. Emergency services reported not seeing any smoke or hot brakes. The aircraft taxied to the apron.

A passenger reported the captain announced they were having problems with the brakes. The passengers were prepared to brace upon landing, shortly before landing they were instructed "Brace! Brace! Brace!". The aircraft landed uneventfully, vacated the runway and was inspected by emergency services.

The aircraft returned to service about 16 hours after landing.
