A Helvetic Air Fokker 100 on behalf of Swiss, registration HB-JVF performing flight LX-1882 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Bucharest Otopeni (Romania), was climbing out of Zurich, when the crew levelled off at approximately FL100 and decided to return to Zurich for a safe landing on runway 28 about 15 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the captain announced after landing that they had heard unusual noises during initial climb and therefore decided to return.

A replacement Fokker 100 registration HB-JVC reached Bucharest with a delay of 90 minutes.
