A US Airways Boeing 757-200, registration N201UU performing flight US-799 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Philadelphia,PA (USA) with 108 people on board, was enroute at FL350 about 140nm northwest of Shannon (Ireland) when the crew reported the failure of an altimeter making it impossible to continue the Oceanic crossing and decided to divert to Dublin (Ireland) requesting emergency services on standby for an overweight landing. The aircraft landed safely on Dublin's runway 10 about 45 minutes later.
