An Easyjet Europe Airbus A320-200, registration OE-IJZ performing flight U2-1851 from Bordeaux (France) to Tenerife South,CI (Spain), was enroute at FL370 about 130nm east of Porto (Portugal) still in Spanish Airspace when the crew decided to divert to Porto declaring PAN PAN and advising of a possible engine failure. During the descent the crew advised they would need a ground power unit for not having a working APU. The aircraft entered three holding circuits before commencing their approach to runway 17 and landing safely about 40 minutes after leaving FL370.

According to information The Aviation Herald received the aircraft had been dispatched under minimum equipment list requirements with their APU inoperative.
