A KLM Boeing 777-200, registration PH-BQB performing flight KL-705 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Rio de Janeiro,RJ (Brazil), was enroute at FL310 about 40nm north of Paris (France) when the crew decided to return to Amsterdam reporting a possible hydraulic problem. The aircraft descended to FL300 for the return, dumped fuel and landed safely back on Amsterdam's runway 27 about 100 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the aircraft returned as a precaution due to a technical issue.

According to information The Aviation Herald received the center left hydraulic interface module (HYDIM CL) showed a fault.

A ground observer watching the landing reported the main gear doors were open at landing.
