A JAL Japan Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration JA735J performing flight JL-408 (dep Jan 31st) from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Tokyo Narita (Japan), was enroute at FL340 near Neryungri (Russia) when the crew reported problems with the cabin pressure and descended the aircraft to FL250, later FL230. The aircraft continued towards Tokyo but diverted to Sapporo (Japan) for a safe landing about 3 hours later.

Rosaviatsia reported there was no emergency declared. The crew decided to continue to Tokyo Narita and left Russian Airspace at FL230.

The incident aircraft continued after about 17 hours on the ground in Sapporo and reached Tokyo with a delay of 17 hours.
