The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Osaka about 11.5 hours after landing.
Japan's Ministry of Transport reported the aircraft was struck by lighting twice while climbing through about 4500 meters (FL150), subsequently a strange smoke like smell developed on board temporarily. There had not been any anomaly with any of the instruments in flight.
