An American Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N769US performing flight AA-2546 from Los Angeles,CA (USA) to Mexico City (Mexico), was climbing out of Los Angeles' runway 25R when the crew stopped the climb at 17,000 feet reporting problems with the cabin pressure. The aircraft entered a hold at 17,000 feet while the crew was trying to sort the problem out, the crew needed to decide to return to Los Angeles. The aircraft landed safely on Los Angeles' runway 25L about 95 minutes after departure.

The FAA reported the aircraft returned to Los Angeles due to a pressurization issue, the FAA is investigating the occurrence.

Later passengers reported cabin crew talked amongst themselves that they needed to keep a door shut due to a crack.

The airline reported a possible mechanical issue.
