A Lufthansa Airbus A321-100, registration D-AIRU performing flight LH-1466 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Ibiza,SP (Spain), landed on Ibiza's runway 06 at 14:55L (12:55Z) but burst both right hand main tyres on landing and became disabled about 2300 meters/7500 feet down the runway.

The airport was closed for about 4 hours as result. 14 arriving aircraft needed to divert to other airports including Palma Mallorca,SP (Spain).
