A Lufthansa Airbus A321-200, registration D-AISC performing flight LH-1314 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Malta (Malta), was accelerating for takeoff from Frankfurt's runway 18 when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed (about 135 knots over ground) due to a suspected rabbit strike. The aircraft slowed safely, emergency services responded and checked the brakes.

The aircraft was able to depart again about 90 minutes later and reached Malta without further incident.
