An Air Canada Boeing 777-200, registration C-FIUF performing flight AC-43 from Delhi (India) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 316 people on board, was enroute at FL300 about 430nm northwest of Delhi, approximately over Peshawar (Pakistan), about one hour into the flight when the crew received "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up!" GPWS warnings. The crew worked the related checklists and decided to return to Delhi, climbed the aircraft to FL310 for the return and landed safely back in Delhi about 2.5 hours after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported emergency services met the aircraft at the runway, examined the aircraft, the aircraft subsequently taxied to the apron.
