A Srilankan Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration 4R-ALP performing flight UL-303 from Singapore (Singapore) to Colombo (Sri Lanka), was on final approach to Colombo's runway 22 when the aircraft encountered windshear prompting the crew to go around. The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 22 and landed without further incident about 18 minutes after the go around.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 8 hours, then departed for the next flight.

Sri Lanka's CAA reported they rated the occurrence an incident and opened an investigation.
