A Srilankan Airbus A330-300, registration 4R-ALR performing flight UL-607 from Sydney,NS (Australia) to Colombo (Sri Lanka), was enroute when the first officer left the cockpit for a toilet break. The captain locked the door and refused to let the first officer back in. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Colombo.

The first officer filed a complaint after landing indicating that a disagreement between the captain and herself had caused the lockout.

The airline reported the captain has been grounded. Sri Lanka's Civil Aviation Authority have opened an investigation.

On Oct 18th 2024 "Captain Lockpit", as the captain of the flight is now been referred to by Sri Lankan media (real name of the captain and first officer known), handed in his resignation. The dispute had inflamed over the toilet break taken by the first officer.
