A Qantas Boeing 737-800, registration VH-VZP performing flight QF-751 from Townsville,QL to Brisbane,QL (Australia), was descending towards Brisbane when the crew reported they had shut the left hand engine (CFM56) down due to decreasing oil quantity. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Brisbane's runway 19 with emergency services on standby.

The aircraft returned to service about 25 hours after landing.
