A Vistara Airbus A321-200N, registration VT-TVB performing flight UK-707 from Delhi to Kolkata (India) with 160 people on board, was climbing out of Delhi's runway 11 when the crew stopped the climb at FL080 due to an engine (LEAP) failure. The aircraft returned to Delhi for a safe landing on runway 11 about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A321-200N registration VT-TVJ reached Kolkata with a delay of about 4.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 20 hours after landing back.

The airline reported a technical glitch prompted the return to Delhi.
