A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A310-300, registration AP-BGR performing flight PK-206 from Kuwait City (Kuwait) to Lahore (Pakistan) with 198 people on board, was enroute near Kerman (Iran) about one hour into the flight when the crew decided to divert to Kerman Airport due to a hydraulic failure. The aircraft landed safely in Kerman.

Following repairs the aircraft continued the flight departing Kerman about 5 hours after landing, however not to Lahore but to Karachi (Pakistan) where the aircraft landed 5.5 hours past scheduled arrival time in Lahore. The remainder of the flight was cancelled.

The incident aircraft resumed service about 7 hours after landing in Karachi.
