A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration AP-BKX performing flight PK-580 from Karachi to Multan (Pakistan), was accelerating for takeoff from one of the runways 25, when the crew rejected takeoff due to a problem with the right hand engine (PW127) and returned to the apron.

Pakistan's AIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
