A United Boeing 787-9, registration N27957 performing flight UA-26 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Denver,CO (USA), was climbing out of Heathrow's runway 27L when the crew stopped the climb at FL110, entered a hold to dump fuel and returned to London Heathrow for a safe landing on runway 27R about 75 minutes after departure.

The airline told passengers: "UA26 returned to London because our maintenance team needed to service an indicator light."

A passenger overheard talks by officials that the nose gear did not indicate retracted.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 25 hours, then departed as flight UA-2750 to Denver.
