An American Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N942NN was preparing for flight AA-488 from San Pedro Sula Intl AP (Honduras) to Miami, FL (USA), when a passenger entered the aircraft via jetway and stormed into the open cockpit. He then continued to damage flight controls and tried to jump out of the open cockpit window. Crew members intervened and the unknown person was apprehended by local law enforcement.
The aircraft was taken out of service and a replacement aircraft has been sent.
