A Nordwind Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration VP-BUT performing flight N4-7830 from Antalya (Turkey) to Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia), was on approach to Sheremetyevo's runway 24C when at 3000 feet the crew decided to shut the left hand engine (PW4168) down due to oil temperature. The aircraft continued for a safe landing about 7 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Moscow about 36 hours after landing.
