An Azul Linhas Aereas Airbus A320-200N, registration PR-YRE performing flight AD-4649 from Porto Alegre,RS to Recife,PE (Brazil) with 175 passengers and 6 crew, was enroute at FL370 about 90nm northeast of Sao Paulo's Viracopos Airport,SP (Brazil) when the crew detected a decreasing oil quantity indication for the left hand engine (LEAP), worked the related checklists and decided to divert to Viracopos Airport for a safe landing about 40 minutes later.

The aircraft returned to service about 23.5 hours after landing.
