A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N8635F performing flight WN-4552 from Chicago Midway,IL to San Francisco,CA (USA), was on final approach to San Francisco's runway 28L already handed off to tower by approach, when the crew did not switch frequency and advised approach they had "no flaps" at this time and needed to go around. The aircraft climbed from about 2300 feet up to 4000 feet, the crew performed the checklists, climbed to 6000 feet for about 10 minutes and positioned for the approach to runway 28L at a significantly higher than normal speed (190 knots over ground) just after midnight (local time) about 25 minutes after the go around. The aircraft vacated the runway and stopped clear of the runway.

The aircraft is still on the ground in SFO about 8 hours after landing.
