The onward leg to Aberdeen,SC (UK) needed to be cancelled however. Passengers waiting for the onward flight to Aberdeen were told the aircraft received a lightning strike and were rebooked onto later flights.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Manchester 77 hours after landing.
