A Nouvelair Airbus A320-200, registration TS-INO performing flight BJ-575 from Lyon (France) to Djerba (Tunisia), was climbing through FL270 out of Lyon when the crew donned their oxygen masks, declared PAN PAN and initiated an emergency descent to FL110. After levelling off at FL110 the crew reported they were able to regain control of the cabin pressure, however maximum rate of descent was 1000 fpm, and cancelled PAN. The aircraft returned to Lyon for a safe landing on runway 35R about 25 minutes after stopping the climb.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 5 hours then departed again and reached Djerba with a delay of 5 hours.
