A Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737-800, registration LN-DYV performing flight DY-3194 from Copenhagen (Denmark) to Stockholm (Sweden), was cleared for the approach to runway 01R and on short final when the crew decided to go around from about 500 feet MSL (airport elevation 137 feet MSL). The aircraft climbed back to 4000 feet, positioned for another approach and landed safely on runway 01R about 18 minutes later.

A passenger reported the crew announced the control tower had been unreachable.

Radar data show other aircraft departed and landed at Stockholm's Arlanda Airport at that time with no visible interruption in traffic flow.

The incident aircraft became airborne for the return flight DY-3195 about 40 minutes after touchdown.
